Student Overseas Study Tour
To enrich the cross-cultural learning experience of the Degree, Master degree and PGDBA programme, LORAA Business Academy organizes International Study Tours for all its students during July/Aug of every year. During these tours, the students visit various industries, universities, interactions with local people, academic lectures session, foreign culture, and history, economy, and food and heritage knowledge with landmark tourist attractions. These experiences, created with students, educators, and professionals in mind, are open to everyone who enjoys travel and learning.
It gives students, educators, and professionals opportunities to grow and form enduring friendships. It intends to:
- Develop a sense of independence and confidence.
- Develop and foster pupils' intellectual curiosity.
- Nurture abilities outside of the standard classroom
- Offer life-changing experiences and memories

The training program has a strong practical focus, with a project in which you will work in a group to conduct research and develop recommendations for a client interested in expanding in the region, allowing you to learn about the factors that are critical for making good decisions about where and how to expand globally.
There is also a heavy emphasis on educating students to interact effectively across cultures in student future careers and lives. In addition, students will investigate cultural variations that may necessitate individual adaptation, using the cultural intelligence framework to identify and build strategies for managing these.
While the study tour lasts one week, the training also includes workshops, activities, and evaluation elements before and shortly after.

The transition from academia to a professional career can be intimidating. Students with extensive theoretical knowledge frequently lack the practical skills and industrial exposure required to flourish in real-world jobs. On-the-Job Training (OJT) plays an important role here. The LORAA Business Academy placement cell, which has over 15 years of experience in professional development, provides a rigorous OJT program designed to prepare students for the demands of modern workplaces.
On-the-Job Training is an organized program that combines classroom instruction with practical job experience. In contrast to internships or short-term projects, OJT offers intensive experience in which students work in real-world settings under the supervision of industry specialists.
The Learning skills includes:
- Understanding global standards
- Able to demonstrate cross cultural skills and sensitivity
- Generic workplace standards
- Professional conventions includes workplace ethics and dress codes, productivity and performance requirements, organizational hierarchy, and industry terminology, Networking and professional coworker relationships etc.
The aforementioned not only improves their technical knowledge but also sharpens their soft skills, such as collaboration, interpersonal skills, time management, work ethics, adaptability skills and management skills in problem solving and decision-making abilities.
