Student Orientation

Student Orientation

Student orientation programs are intended to help newly enrolled first year and transfer undergraduate students integrate to the academic process and social climates of their colleges and universities.

The primary goal of a student orientation program is to help new undergraduates understand the nature of the college-university relationship, as well as the educational opportunities available to them, the values and functions of the college in the local community, as an academic enterprise. It also allows students to engage in academic advising, research writing, and student and lecturer timetable and learn about student registration, hostel or PG accommodation, campus events, and informational sessions on the safety of the campus, academic resources, student support services, technology, clubs activities, sports activities and other elements of college and university life.
